IF you do what I propose and have only region tourneys' date=' it doesnt matter if you have more or less than 256. 256 is perfect to have 16, 16 team regions. But either way above or below 256 is a simple adjustment for a region tourney. Below 16 you have some byes. Above 16 you have some play-in games. It's not that complicated.[/quote']

 

 

If you have more than 16 teams, you have five rounds of a tournament instead of four. That does make it more complicated. I don't see it happening until/if the state has less than 256 teams.

I've often thought it would make more sense to have it like Indiana does it where only the district champ advances. It would certainly make the district title worth more, which makes sense.

Sorry TBF. I usually agree with you, but not this time. The Districts are here to stay. If you there is whining now, wait until the coaches get together to determine seeding for a regional. The politics would make our regular elections for office look tame. This would only be another way for the bigger schools to perpetuate their dominance.I'm afraid your Ramblers would suffer greatly in the near future due to the coach's great popularity among his peers. It would not befair to the kids to have their fate determined by the coach's ability to play politics.

I would also like to see all Districts seeded and each team play home and home, JMO.

On seeding maybe they should blind draw NCAA and Duke and UCONN could play first game. Drawing in districts is archaic and should be changed.

Agreed!!!! The districts should be seeded and it should not be up for debate.
