CCH at Holmes I would think Holmes has advantage?

Featured Replies

Holmes is probably a little better, but it should be close. Colston had a big game last time. If he or Palmer are hitting That would be the difference. A healthy Frederick makes a big difference for CCH.

Hypothethically (not focusing on any specific player's condition)... if you have a player who is on the mend from a nagging injury, would you rest him in the District Finals and save him for the Regionals?

Always want to win. The higher seed is nice to have but the District runner-up gets a ticket to the BOK dance just like the champ.

I would be tempted to hold out the player on the mend and save him for the Regionals.

I actually had this discussion today. On one hand you want to rest him (if he's still not fully healthy) but on the other you increase your chances of facing 2:1 odds for facing a really tough team (Cooper/NC) in the first round of the region.

If he says he can play and he's helping I play him.

I see Holmes winning this one by 5. They beat CCH at their home gym earlier this year. I expect Holmes to hold serve on their own court, and winning another district title. Either way, I'm sure the other district winners don't wanna face this district loser in the first round.

Holmes will just be too much for Cov Cath. Bolden Rutshultz should be exciting.

I was having a discussion yesterday about what we will see defensively from CCH. My guess is we see a fair amount of zone with pressure on the perimeter UNTIL Holmes shows that can consistently knock down 3s.

If the Holmes' bigs stay out of foul trouble, then I see Holmes winning by 10+. Either way, CCH has to consider themselves lucky to be opposite Holmes in the Regionals on the BIG floor at NKU. Holmes will be very hard to beat on that floor.

Beechwood tried the same thing until they started putting Bolden in the middle at the free throw line, giving him the option to drive, turn and shoot a mid range jumper, or drive and dish. Seemed to be effective. Will be interesting to see if Holmes uses the same strategy tonight.
