Everyone on here keeps saying that they want the best teams in the Regional Tournament and seeding needs to be mandated. Who here honestly doesn't think that the loser of CCH/HC deserves to go to the Regional tournament???? The problem is not that districts seed/blind draw, the problem is that there are some Districts that have 3 or 4 good teams and some that maybe only have 1. Even if the KHSAA mandated seeding for all Districts, you will never get the best 8 teams in the Regional tournament. The District tournament is an extension of an unseeded state tournament and an unseeded Regional tournament, I don't see the issue with having unseeded District tournaments.

Let use head to head.

NCC beats Holmes, Holmes not seeded #1

Cooper losses to Holmes and NCC but beats CovCath, so Cooper can't be #1

The Districts CAN be seeded easily though by deciding it on the court. The Region and State cannot. And sure the loser of the CCH/ HC might be one of the best 8 teams in the Region but only alternative would be to seed the entire region by having every team play every other team in the region. And having HC and Covcath (NCC and Holmes) play Dayton, Ludlow, Bellevue, etc. during the regular season does not do any of those teams any good.

The way you typed this up it seems very hard to sort out, and thus hard to seed.

I would. If you can't finish in the top 2 in a 4 team district, you don't deserve to go to the region. Period.
