I just heard in the local radio that they are going to interview the last two candidates tonight's and that a decision could be be made anytime after the interviews tonight. It was said they are down to 8 candidates.

A few of the finalist names were mentioned this morning one interesting one was Bob Sphire from North Gwinnett High School in Georgia formerly of Lexington Catholic. Very interesting that he would want to leave that hot bed that he's at. Also John Edge of Owensboro Catholic was named never really thought he would leave Owensboro Catholic but I guess I was wrong.

He is from Kentucky; Meade County to be exact.

I knew he was from Kentucky just didn't know what part.

Why would Edge not want to leave Catholic? He handed Catholic the money to build a stadium, fixed the weightroom, only coach in the building, 3 State Runners Up and makes about $15,000 less then other coaches in the state. Hmmm!!! I think it would be a great move if he gets the job.

 

They don't let him hire anyone in the building.

Very average but don't tell him that..He has a very high opinion of himself..

Billy is HC at North Oldham (has done a VERY good job there) & played at HCHS. Also cut his teeth in coaching at North Jr High (my first job was at South).

 

Kevin was HC at Shelby Valley while I was at Pikeville. Known for having hard-nosed teams & he's an 'old school coach' in every sense of the word.

 

Both are extremely passionate about football. Billy is a true 'football nerd' -- probably has watched more video about every kind of offense/defense/SpTms as anybody.
