While I dont quite understand turning down the opportunity in western kentucky, I do think it is a good fit. Must be nice to pick up a coach with this much experience to come in and be a position coach.

Just guessing, but I am assuming Coach Perry turned down an opportunity in WKY and Boyle picked up a DL coach in Jerry Perry. I heard that Billy Goldsmith retired to focus on other opportunities.

 

If true, Boyle has another great coach to add to the stable... Also reunites Perry and Hester, who collaborated to bring a lot of success to Garrard back in the 90s.

I hadn't heard that about Goldsmith but it makes sense. Boone has a chance to be the starting QB at Morehead State so I'd imagine he'll be following him this season.

I believe you. He performs frequently for various fundraising events around town so if that is true I am not surprised. I have always enjoyed Coach Goldsmith and have nothing but kind words for his entire family. They are all good people.
