Voting for Weekly Top 25 (season)

Voting for All State, Miss Softball, and Coaching Staff of the Year.

Players from your school may be placed on the Academic All State Team.

Players from your school are eligible for selection to the East/West All Star Games for Juniors and Seniors

Coaches may attend the KSCA annual meeting (usually in January) where items will be discussed and passed/or denied. A new 2nd Vice President will be elected.

Coaches will receive a KSCA coaches directory with day phone, night phone, and email address.

 

Member coaches nominate players for awards from regional member schools at year end. There is meeting in Lexington for final vote. Two years ago, only half of the then six member schools that showed for meeting. Hard to promote your players if you don't even show up....

I Know Conner voted for smith. Haley is one of the best players in NKY. I am not sure on Moran. She has never actually played in a game versus the cougars.

Thanks for the info. Seems like every coach would want to join given the small cost compared to the benefits you receive with your membership.

Maybe those that voted thought she would not be eligible. She should be at the very top of the list.

Agree she should be at the very top followed by Moran. Although Moran certainly didn't get the exposure Smith did in high school just because of the high school team she plays for. That is a shame too.

 

I thought there might be one or two on the 10th region list from BBHS too.

Perhaps for pre-season there isn't a vote, but there is for year end awards & in-season weekly top 25 standings.

Last year in the 10th Region, the postseason revealed more parity than in previous years. I suspect more of the same in 2013.

When you vote for your region, do you vote for all players/schools? Or only those players/schools that are KSCA members?
