Just out of curiosity

I was hoping to drill a little deeper than just the politics involved.

In some cases the answer is simple, most hypocritcal stances are driven by political ideology. I'm not saying I'm completly innocent of this either. It is just a simple truth in America. I'm one of the few Pro-life, anti-death penalty people I know. How many pro-choice people are also against school vouchers and smoking in private establishments. Those are just a few examples. But the list is long on both sides.

they get out and vote because they know the benefit of keeping someone in office who supports this problem and the politician who wants to be elected will be on board.

Case in point 2008~2016.

Can't separate the two.

I support welfare if there is a clear, accountable plan for employment. Indefinate dependence on government is unacceptable, unless you are limited by permanent, debilitating, disability. I oppose abortion rights, except under the conditions of medical threat to the mother, but believe this needs to be dealt with at the state, and not the federal level. Both positions are spiritually based. Extended dependence on government retards personal growth while denying a dependence on God. Abortion is taking of an innocent human life.

I am 100% in favor of the sanctity of life; Pro-life, condemn euthanasia and capital punishment, etc. I am also 100% in favor of welfare; and 100% in favor of welfare reform. The system needs a comprehensive overhaul to eliminate waste, abuse, incentivizing additional children while

on welfare, and discentives to seek employment. Some people that truly require the sustenance, don't get enough due to the flaws in our system; while others benefit longer and more than what they should.

Along the same lines, perhaps another topic; I am curious why many people that are Pro-abortion, tend to be anti-war or PETA supporters. I realize that seldom are people "pro-war", but I'll assume you understand my point.

Maybe there is a disagreement on when a life starts.

When I was in high school I had a friend who told me that his parents wanted his sisters to get pregnant as soon as possible. The more they had in the house the more money they had coming in. His parents never worked more than 5 years of their adult life. He said that all of his aunt and uncles did the same thing.

My friend went on the work for the state of GBI as a forensic specialist. He told me he wasn't going the route of his family.

PP92 I disagree about the abortion statement. I'm not a republican or democrat. I usually vote after I have done research on that persons record and see if it lines itself with most of what I believe in including laws and religious based things. I also believe in the welfare system if it is done right. I really have a problem of people who have made a living using welfare.
