Montgomery County 64 Mason County 52

Nice road win minus 2nd leading scorer for the Indians.

MOCO got homered bad and still grinded it out.

Prewitt with 30 points and 10 rebounds. Tyler and Darius Jones with 13 each.

Shawn Johnson led Mason with 13 points followed by Steven Chambers with 12.

Homered within the region? It isn't like they went to the 16th or something?

Absolutely homered at home! When the ref's seem to be calling it in favor of the home team. It's called Homered!

Refs were not calling for the home team tonight. Omar touches the ball in the 4th qtr.......foul. Omar gets bumped......foul. Now dont get me wrong......Omar is a great player....the main reason Montgomery Co is where they are. But, if the Royals learned one thing tonight..........it is the Indians are beatable. Mason shots less than 50 percent from the FT line and the Indians shoot 90 percent. Omar himself made more free throws than Mason shot. So not sure how you can say "HOMERED". In fact you cant honestly. Royals were up 1 point with about 3 min left.......Indians end game on 11-0 run. I wouldn't book my hotel rooms in Lexington yet, if I'm an Indian faithful.

You just forgot a couple of things. MOCO didn't have there point guard which is the number two scorer. And Omar played 3 min the first half. And the refs were horrible. Not just calling fouls. They were horrid on loose ball, just all call in general. HOMERED!

About the final score I would have expected in this one.

I would think this outcome would be more encouraging for Montgomery than Mason. A 12 point win without your second leading scorer (and best defender IMO) is pretty solid.

Since you mention foul trouble..........Mason had two starters with two fouls in the first qtr. Again........Omar MAKES more FT's than Mason attempts. Check the stats...... Loose balls are hustle plays, not potential foul opportunites for either team. Mont Co won the game, an I'm not complaining.......i'm simple stating Royals made a good showing no matter how much the refs HOMERED you and regardless of how many transfer players you had sitting. Remember Indians were suppose to win. You act as if you have to use the term HOMERED to prove why you only won by 12.......which might i add was the biggest lead Indians had, which was only due to FT's at the end. Indians never lead in 2nd half by much more the 7 or 8. Dont book your hotels rooms yet. There could be a few teams that have something to say come March. The pressure will be much greater come March especially if you suppose to win.

Sorry, I disagree. Questionable calls? Yes as always. Homered? Long way from calling it homered! Homered example would be in 2009 Montgomery at Bath County. Coach actually walked out on the floor to mid court to argue the "homering"!

I didn't make it to the game but listened to Danny Weddle. This was a closer game than the score indicates. A 9-2 run at the end (about 3:00 min remaining) extended the margin. Mason actually lead on a few occasions in the second half but Mont. was too tough down the stretch defensively.

Montgomery County has a pretty bright future ahead also. At one point in the 2nd quarter, with Prewitt and Hall ( a sophomore) on the bench, the Indians had 2 freshman (Walker and Combs), a sophomore (Hodgson) and a junior (D. Jones)on the floor.

It wasnt as bad as i prob made it sound but i thought it was more than questionable. But it always is at the Fieldhouse!
