As part of the Joe B. Hall Classic held at Montgomery County.

 

Brad Carr's Eagles (11-8) seem to be playing much better basketball of late, having won 5 of their last 6, with the lone loss to still undefeated Holmes. The Commodores (16-5) have gone 2-2 in their last 4 games & have a Friday night road contest with Clay County before squaring off with Scott on Saturday afternoon.

 

Who wins & why?

Hard for me to vote against coach Carr. He always gets the best out his players and his teams play exceptionally hard. I look at Scott as a team with one primary scorer and two perimeter guys that can stretch the floor. PCC has three bigs that look to score and will be a match up issue for the Eagles. They can go inside out with Beverly and their wings can shoot it.

 

Hoping that Scott gets them in a run n gun game, wears out the bigs and PCC has an issue with the pressure. In the end, PCC has too much firepower.

PCC 71 Scott 61....PCC has too many weapons and a good inside game...

I'm def. taking Scott. There preassure will be too much for PCC guards. I don't think Scott is lacking in firepower either. I think their bigs will be challenged to guard the perimeter and will not find it easy sleading down low.

Should be a great game. I've seen both play several times. I'm calling this one a pick! But I'll be pulling for the local boys. Good luck Eagles.

Eagle have too deep of a bench for PCC. They will be running them all game long!

Got to go with Perry Central. If it's pressure defense that Scott relies on, as has been posted, that usually doesn't bother PCC. Freshman guard Braxton Beverly is already a seasoned vet in his 3rd year as a starter and played in the state tournament as a 7th grader. He can handle pressure. The size of PCC with the 6'7 Johnson and the 6'6 Cornett should be a challenge for Scott as well.
