Did Callahan throw SB XXXVII?

I don't believe so at all. If was the case, this should have come out much sooner than now.

In other news, Steve Christie kicked the ball wide right on purpose.:isurrender:

Which Brown contends he has said this for sometime.

So let me get this straight. Bill Callahan, in his first season as a head coach leads his team to a 14-2 record dominating the AFC and playoffs, molds Rich Gannon in to the MVP of the season, then Superbowl week (had only 1 week to prepare that season) implements a backwards game plan featuring RBs that were never used all season and then throws it out last minute to feature what they were doing all season long in hopes of confusing his team because he wanted Gruden to win a Superbowl to get back at Al Davis? First off, if that is the case why weren't the players happy they were going back to what got them there; the starting center that went on the Tijuana binge two days before threw them off bigger than manipulating some game plan on a team of veterans; and, I think this is a case of high caliber players not taken any responsibility for a poor performance. Now if you want to get on Callahan for not mixing it up and Tampa know what was coming, fair enough. But to go black helicopter on this one seems a little far reaching.

My guess is Callahan is just like every other coach in that he got in to a situation and over thought it. Sometimes these coaches are too smart for their own good. We used to talk about this with me coaching HS football. When we were playing a good opponent sometimes we would try to come up with goofy things we do not normally do. If you have to come up with alternative whacky ways to beat a team, you are simply not as good and not going to beat them anyways and your best shot is to play how you normally play.

Why in the world would a first time Head Coach who is in the Super Bowl for the first time purposely want to lose the game which would have given him the goal that every football coach in the country from pee wee to HS to College and Pro's dreams of and that is winning a super Bowl.

Sorry I don't see it. Sounds like Tim Brown didn't get along with Callahan and thinks he must come up with a reason why they lost and on top of that to bury his coach at the same time and point the finger to him.
