Mercer County returns alot and she be pretty good next year.

Russell had 17 kids returning that played in the championship game this year- 17 !!

Not Couting 6'6" 320 pound Harvey kid returning and the speedy 4.5 QB from Columbus which both are freshman this year. I think that Russell has the best chance out of all the AA teams to do it again.

I should have said HAS 17 kids returning that played in the game. No I did not count the special teams players that played, I might have to go back and recount them all. Thanks for highlighting that for me.

Russell and Mercer County

From what i am hearing Western High School out of Louisville will have a strong and very talented group of players returning. With Doug Preston going there and his diversified offensvie attack the Warriors could challenge in the West. I hear that Preston is taking long time assistant David Williams with him to run the defense.

Who will play QB for Russell next year? The kid from Columbus or the kid who backed up Brown last year? He seemed like a good player for only a sophmore.

The ideal situation would be for Jones to play RB if there is another option at QB. Hopefully someone will step up at the QB position.

Rusell will be tuff. But dont count out Belfry both will be better than this year. I think Belfry will get back to the carpet this year but who knows. Alot of season is left to be played befroe any team can really start thinking about that.
