You seem pretty sure about that, but I guess thats why you are the BASKETBALLWIZ. Edmondson hasn't impressed me very much this season. I think he has only had one game with more than 20 and that was when some of his teammates were sitting out.

 

Rice is a nice player but isn't the biggest of big men so Shult and Young could cause him some problems. But he is a good player who can't get in foul trouble or it could really hurt them.

 

Jefferson didn't seem to shutdown Jacobs or Tierney last year, did he? They both had very good games against him. I still think that Tierney and Jacobs will get there points. Because they are good players.

 

IMO, Honestly I really believe the key to this game could come down the style of play the referees allow. If alot of fouls are being called I think that could hurt the Bulldogs. They would really struggle if Rice or Henderson get into foul trouble.

That was very well put. Edmondson really stood out when a couple players were out. He is a good ball player and i really don't think he is given that chance on the court very often. Yes he plays, but he doesn't get the ball very much. I'm sure this will be a good game .

I've come to the conculsion why Edomonson doesn't score like he should or I predicted who would after his freshman year.

 

Holmes offense has him as an idle shooter. Edmoson is a good shooter off the dribble and is able to create off the dribble. But with all the option on his team Rice, Henderson, Jefferson, and Hill, he just doesn't get the oppurtunity.

 

The one game where he was the man, he proved he could do it.

Thats a pretty big statement. I disagree with that. I know holmes is on top and one of the best in the state. But from what I hear it sounds like Scott either didn't bring their A+ game or Scott is just a little overhyped. Possibly more just overhyped.

 

The Bulldogs should beat everyone in NKY but I think they have two games that are going to cause them problems. CCH on wednesday being one. If they get by the Colonels then good for them. But I think the game that really will cause the Bulldogs problems is going to be the Highlands game. Highlands plays very physical. I don't think Holmes is going to like the physical style of play. Guidugli can take you mentally out of your game just like that. It will be hard for the young bulldogs to maintain composure agaist a physical Highlands team.

BTW, the AP rankings came out and CCH is #10. Somehow Holmes is not on the list at all nor Highlands. This proves once again that the great majority of high school polls are a waste of ink.

I think the style of play Highlands plays will hurt them more against Holmes in my opinion. If Vories was to play the penetration game, I'm sure Jefferson is licking his lips.

It's gonna be a very good game and I would like to see CCH out on top, but it won't be easy for them.

Holmes has a huge fan following this year. It actually shocked me at all the games I've been to.

 

The game might not sell out, because of Holmes size. But then again it might because of all the casual HS basketball fans who are going to attend.
