January 4, 201313 yr For my wife, who grew up in DC area, traffic around here is nothing. But since she is the one who makes multiple daily treks to Ft Thomas, her biggest butt burner are the idiots on 275E who park in the left lane 10 miles before the I471N interchange. (For those not familiar, it's a left lane exit) WHY? WHY? WHY? For some moronic reason, they feel it necessary to get in the left lane because they somehow know there won't EVER be another chance to get over in the next 10 miles. They want to do 60 in a 65 in the fast lane, and most of them can't make it up the hill to the Taylor Mill exit, so they end up going even s l o w e r... Spent quite a few years travelling the state at all times of the day. Sometimes you'll catch a KY driver putzing in the left lane, but not often, This is reserved for the OH plates. I'm talking 3 lanes, NO ONE else on the road, and idiot is cruising, doing speed limit or below in the left lane. What are they teaching in drivers ed? Always vowed that if I got pulled over in OH, I would ask the state trooper that question. Doubt it would ever get me out of a ticket, probably make the fine worse, but just maybe I would be able to solve the mystery....
