I am admittedly prejudice on this but I am absolutely shocked that Sam Burchell is not mentioned in any of the state Polls at LB. I'm not saying he should have been 1st team, and I haven't seen all the players on the list. This I can tell you, talk to anyone of O-coordinators that played against CovCath and have them tell you what LB's they coached against that are better. My guess is that list is extremely short.

 

Agreed that he is certainly deserving of consideration. I feel like several underclass men get looked over on these awards with voters wanting to recognize seniors. Burchell may have fallen victim to this line of thinking as the nomination process took place along with the fact that he played on a team where others were nominated.

 

I like the way he plays .... so the consolation prize is that he gets my vote.
