19/24 is getting it done from the line

3/17 for from the field - not so much.

Stink, if you had and you know you didn't attend the game that is, you would have seen how much Nick R was being hammered all night long last night.

He got to the line and attempted 24 FT but that didn't count the number of times he was fouled with it not being a shooting foul nor the number of times he was mugged where the call wasn't made.

It was or seemed to me at least to be the game plan of X just to foul/hammer Nick all night long instead of letting him shoot.

BTW you need to read the LHL article link

"The kids weren't playing basketball. They were just surviving. ... It was obvious we had to do something to clean up the game."— KHSAA Commissioner Julian Tackett

That's cool and I understand.:thumb:

Question to those who attend a lot of HS games. Where else but at X does the two score keepers not sit together at the table? X score keeper sits at one end of a long scoring table (not even within shouting distance) of where the visitors score keeper sits! This is the only gym I have been to where the score keepers don't sit next to each other or at least within speaking distance of each other and am wondering if it's done anywhere else!

No big deal just curious?

Play Ballard,Seneca,Trinity and virtually any other team in Louisville, and you will not be cozily parked next to the other scorer.

The scorers positioning at CovCath is less than perfect as you would need a megaphone to maybe tell your bench pertinent information.

The PBP guy on 1080 felt that the officials performance last night made up for the 9th region officials last year in "Covington."

Thought you weren't going to go there about the stripes? Sounds like they were fans of the home team.

Did the officials cause CC to lose the game? Or did X win it by their performance?

X 28 fouls

CovCath 24 fouls

Did the officials cause CC to lose the game? Or did X win it by their performance?

X played very well led by Rob Shaw. It must have been their game plan to not let CCH get anything from the field and fouling is way of doing that. It is never exciting when your only form of offense is from the free throw line, but that is what X set out to do... Make the colonels miserable by only being able to shoot free throws. Both teams played great games and made it like a playoff type game.

Should have seen the officals in both the JV & Var game this afternoon at NewCath.........:ohbrother:

Sounded like X was the better team.

X played much better. Got in Ruthsatz head throughout. Officials blew it on the T and the no call T with 6 guys on the floor for X. From my seat both were questionable. Great to see TOG there

I found it odd that Xavier went down to the locker room during the playing of the national anthem. I have never seen a team do that. Is that their normal pregame?

The refs did not win or lose the game for either team.

CovCath did not execute well, played sloppy & had to many unforced turn overs.

St X was the better team that night.

Rob Shaw for St X was very good.

Sounded like X was the better team.

That's kind of what I was thinking.

As an aside, it seems like the amount of complaining on BluegrassPreps about officiating has increased dramatically this seaon. (I'm not just talking about this thread.) Doesn't anyone just merely lose a game any more?

Tigers weren't 17,18, or 19 points better like it was at somepoints in the game, but that's where some of the "bad officiating" came into play. X was the Better team though.
