This shocks me. I've seen Boone play. I thought Conner would win this one.

Sloppy, ugly night of basketball.

 

Congrats to Boone for getting to the rim so often. I'm struggling to remember one basket outside of 10 feet. They either beat Conner down the floor or they got a lot of open cuts after the pass to the wing. Well done.

 

Guard play at Conner is still an issue.

 

Hemmerich played about as poorly as he can play.

 

Missing their best all-around player didn't help but it's not why they lost.

Big boy McDonald for Boone is effective. Not sure why Conner couldn't figure out what his move was going to be though. He only has one.

I think Watts from Conner has a nice future IF he tightens up his handle. He was too loose with the ball. However, you can see his skill especially in the paint. Getting stronger and longer.

 

I'd like to see Padgett get more touches inside.

Let me add my annual lament.

 

It's sad how small the crowd is for the Conner/Boone game.

 

(Old man mode forthcoming) In my day you had to get there early and many people had to sit up top at Conner. Now you can spread out a bit in the lower section and only the band is up top. Hebron's growth has caused a loss of community identity IMO.

I would post a boxscore from the game. Richard Skinner was at the game and wrote a story.

Clyde (and others) it is beyond frustrating why it's not on the website. It's happened too many times on Saturdays that's it inexcusable....

BTW: Conner wa 6 of 19 from the FT line, including 3 of 13 in the second half.... and Hemmerich was 5 of 19 from the field...
