I am sure you are correct about PRP's conduct and behavior. Still no excuse. Borderlne "thuggish." Maybe they should not have "danced out" and did that "finger pointing thing." Just sayin'.

 

Regardless - the "real Trinity" showed up to play. And I agree with the Statement that was the 3rd best PO team T faced.

tcjkbt - is absolutley correct. IN my book X was the toughest of the bunch. Usually are..The fact that T may have been on a pretty good run vs. X - does not diminish their stature. Many of us said & felt that was the real STATE CHAMPIONSHIP game.

 

Again - hats off to PRP and their season. But they are not in the same class on alot of levels. Start playing a tougher schedule and if you truly want to improve - and knock off some of the behavior they exhibited on the field last night. Win with class - loose with classs.

 

Maybe a true tribute to T as to their toughness and true championship mettel that they wre able to overcome all of the adversity in the X game and still find a way to win - even against the toughest competition.

My 2 cents (ok, 4 cents):

1. X is the second best team in 6A and SC is 3rd. Really no discussion necessary.

2. There were really only a few kids on PRP that instigated the "chippiness"; However, those few bad apples made the entire team look bad.

3. Trinity could have won this game without Quick. And Dawkins. And Wright.

4. PRP fan base was fantastic.

 

Now T sees if they can win without this senior class. I don't know if I would bet against them.

Congrats to our Rocks for bringing home #22. To much fire power for PRP to overcome. I think the chippiness of the PRP players was a direct result of frustration from NOT being able to move the ball without a broken play or penalty. Lots of cheap shots by the Ridge all game long. It all started with the first incomplete pass to James Quick. Bad mistake. PRP's crowd and student section was awesome. Great support and great pride for there community. The true difference in this game was Trinity's team speed, discipline and coaching. Good luck to the Panthers moving forward. For the ROCKS, next year will be very exciting! Lots of talent coming upk! RELOAD! Also, it was great spending time with “The Guru” on the sidelines!!!

The PRP thugishness started before the game ever started. They went to the Trinity sideline and taunted players and coaches during warm-ups. They got what they deserved. Padded their record with a schedule chock full of cupcakes and were in no way shape or form ready for the kind of team they faced in the championship.

PRP was averaging 47.5. Trinity held them to 7. Coach Beatty said, despite Quick's status, that the PRP game was the first time T was fully healthy alll season. (However, I'm sure many teams have not been healthy, either.)

I really think the T coaching staff did one of its better jobs this year, having been confronted with the loss of its excellent OL, the loss of an very under-appreciated defensive lineman, Adam Barry, and (I hate to say it---but these kids are human, too) complacency. They ended up 4 points away from a perfect season (Moeller 45- Trinity 42).

It wasn't always a work of art but, by golly, they got the job done.

Does anyone know if a broadcast of this game will be on TV in the Louisville area any time soon? Thanks.

You got me G. I'ts on me. I never was too good at spellin'.

 

Yes he has praised T's D. But he is not so forlorn as he makes out. In a State Championship one year and makes it all the way back to the Semi-final the following. He had a pretty nice squad hisself. and, I believe alot of his kids were underclassman. anyway ..'just sayin;.
