November 28, 201213 yr I would absolutely have to travel to Greensboro, et al...for the ACC tourney for the possibility.
November 28, 201213 yr I really wish we knew the votes...my gut says that Duke/Wake/Virginia are voting to keep Louisville out.....While academics is a great public reason (maybe).....I lend myself to think it's football, as they view it a challenge for a conference win.....insert UC instead of UL as well. 7 of 11 voted for UL. Duke, UNC, Wake and UVa did not. One vote short of the 75% margin required...
November 28, 201213 yr I heard they got 8 votes....but needed 9......being that 8 is only 72%.....and they need 75%
November 28, 201213 yr I heard they got 8 votes....but needed 9......being that 8 is only 72%.....and they need 75% I'm ignorant. Edit.
November 28, 201213 yr I heard they got 8 votes....but needed 9......being that 8 is only 72%.....and they need 75% MD can't vote and Pitt, Cuse and ND are not in the conference yet. They only have 11 voting members at the moment...
November 28, 201213 yr Reports are that there will be a vote tomorrow morning and the most likely to receive an invitation is UL.

November 30, 201213 yr An article this morning said UC needs about $160M to upgrade its facilities but there is no money to move forward with the upgrades.

I guess that would be the deal breaker for an ACC placement. The basketball arena is abysmal. Would Nippert be an acceptable football venue in the ACC? I don't know, but I'm guessing that not all ACC football venues would be any larger or nicer than Nippert.
