2a is 2a? They've lost to CC twice in like 20 years and beat SK the year SK went to the state championship.

Yea, I agree, although I have no problem with where they had HC, they did win State last year so you have to give them something

^ Interesting addition with Scott at # 10. They had a good year and will surely need to be in next year's pre-season top 10.

This might be the best top 10 yet. I forgot all about Scott and never thought Boone or Ryle really deserved anything higher than a 10 possibly.

 

Only question I have is why isn't Walton Verona considered NKY? I mean they are in the same county as Cooper, Conner, Boone and Ryle.

I do. They had a pretty good season this year. The problem is they don't play any schools in the poll I don't think until the playoffs so it's hard to measure how good they are.

 

They did finish the season 10-4

Correction, Walton-Verona ended the season with a 10-3 record

I have seen almost every team in N. Ky. this year in person, including Walton. They had a very good year but they aren't top 10 IMO.

I haven't seen them in person, just what I read about them throughout the year. But 10 wins isn't too shabby especially seeing some of the other teams in the original post. I'd put them ahead of Scott though.

I always look at schedules when trying to compare teams against each other. Walton played two opponents above the 2A level. They lost to a 3A Henry County team that was 3-8. They defeated 3A Estill County which didn't win a game all year. I would go with Scott over Walton. Walton needs to step the schedule up a notch if they want to compete for a title in 2A.

Didn't Holmes beat NewCath, Beechwood, and Scott? Shouldn't they be Top 10? Is it held against Holmes that they finished the season against Highlands, CovCath and Johnson Central? Would NCC or Beechwood have fared any better than Holmes did in those games? This is why all class Top 10's are illogical.
