I heard the Mustangs out performed the much BIGGER Anderson Redskins last night during their scrimmage games. This Brossart team has a big bench, height and loaded with talent. Expect to see a high energy team this year that will do extremely well!

 

I would add their quickness and agility as well. I think you are going to see a more expolsive team that gets up and down the floor quickly. I know, I know, not the Code style of play. Maybe so but, I have a feeling that some people may be surprised. Or maybe I will. :jump:

BB always has a crop of OK basketball players, their coach makes many of the young men very good HS players.. Always one of the best coached teams in NKY.

IMO they were good before they got to BB. Coach Code has made them even better.

Mustangs can go 8, 9, or 10 deep if necessary. My "unofficial insight" thinks that both seniors, Ben Uebel and Justin Saunders will be out there, and one or both of the 6'6"s, Burns and Trentman will start. Erik Rieger and/or Jake Jennings will probably round out the Mustang starting five on any given night. Matchups and potential mis-match opportunities will probably dictate who is in the lineup at tip-off time. Expect Ted MacDonald and Austin Shannon to get some QPT spelling the two bigs should they get tired or into foul trouble, and Spencer Hackworth and Jon Zink, although young and primarily cast for JV roles wouldn't hurt us if Coach Code should choose to go that deep and give those two some varsity experience.

The Athletic Website is rather hit and missed and soon to be incorporated into the school website.
