Talk about elitist. I was simply asking a question. Do you have the answer or no?

Gaheafer (9-18 for 75) in the 1st meeting. Wright(22-29, 283). 18 attempts is enough to beat or pace with the rocks, its about the completion pct. And im almost positive they had 2 picks a piece.

My point is that despite the turnovers Trinity still throttled the Tigers. Now is it possible St. X has improved to the point of making it a game? I am sure it is possible. I suspect that no one gave Trinity any chance in 2005 after losing 48-16 in the first meeting and we all know how that turned out.

I just like to tug at the Tiger's tail since you are such a good target AT. :bunny:

Wow it sees like folks are a little more touchy than when these teams played earlier in the year!

You can pull for one school without hating the other.

To answer Avid's query, Wright was 22 of 29 (to 7 different receivers) with 2 TDs and 2 interceptions.

Gahafer was 9 of 18 (to 5 different receivers) with 0 TDs and 2 interceptions.

Looking at the stat sheet the game may have been a little closer than the final score. That being said, I don't think T played well in the first matchup. Personally I thought T looked really good last Friday, showing and executing some things offensively that they have not shown all year (if ever?).

May the better team win.

The game was a lot closer than that score. But the lack of execution led to the loss. Execution will be much better this time around. Look for the O to give the D a little help this week.

We will both be "Elitist" when KHSAA schools stop playing us and we play each other twice a year because of recent direction of Trinity basketball.

Trinity and X have been allowed to dominate football but basketball is different story. State will not stand for it. Not saying I agree but wait and see....

I don't know if X is quite at the level of T in basketball yet. The X b-ball program is definitely up and coming and they may make a deep run this year in the state tournament, But i think T will continue success on the court. I know students are now trying to go to T for basketball as well. I have a younger cousin whose 6'8 that goes to T fro basketball.

But this isn't the thread's intended direction. X 21 T 17

I'm sorry but I don't see it that way at all. How was it closer than the score? X's td was a 50% freak play where the runner bounced out of a pile of rocks. Aside from that did they really ever threaten again? Maybe Jordan's rip and score td was an oddity, but to say the game was closer??? Not really.

Goodness gracious AT, you may want to talk to a proctologist about that stick problem you seem to have.

How about I tell you what you want to hear, will that ease things for you? St. X will dominate from beginning to end and unleash a passing game that will make Brohm's numbers from the 2002 title game paltry. Glaser will be named as national treasure with the victory and proceed to have his face added to Mount Rushmore along with a national holiday to commemorate the occasion.

That should perk you up old bean.

The game was extremely close in the 1st half. 20-7 going into the 4th is a close game. The 4th quarter is where the disparity showed tremendously.
