The oldest Nussbaum was tghe best kicker I ever saw. I still remember watching him put the ball through the uprights all the time on his kickoffs.

Guru and I lived around the corner from "the oldest Nussbaum. He starred on Holmes undefeated team of 1943. You made an incorrect assumption that Gary was the oldest Nussbaum.

Maybe the athletic director should contact Channel 9 and let them know, for future reference. It is hard when two players have the same number. I feel sorry for both players. One who is getting the credit for another players achievements, and the other player who is not getting credit for his own achievements.

I loved watching Gary kick when I was growing up. He was incredible and you are right, he could hit like a bulldozer.

 

He did go to EKU but I think could of went to a bigger D1 school but, if i'm not mistaken, broke his leg or foot in his senior year.
