Now don't worry, I personally think Conner and Cooper both have been outstanding this year, I hope if Cooper doesn't go to the finals this year that Conner does.

 

I have absolutely no ill will toward Conner's team at all. I just wanted to see the replies to my post and I got what I wanted lol, very entertaining.

 

If you want to know why i threw the bait out there, do what I just did, quite entertaining, and go read the old thread at the beginning of the season titled "Is Cooper the best team in NKY?" The jealousy that was displayed in that thread by someone on here keeps me entertained, and I really REALLY like the guy and respect him, but it was funny how defensive some got when it was even mentioned Cooper may be better haha. I believe someone even talked about how horrible the rankings were after the regular season last year, yet he thinks they are spot on this year....the difference? Last year Cooper finished above Conner in the rankings

Your reason to say Conner is better than Cooper this year is because Conner beat Coooper this year. Your reason why Conner was better than Cooper last year is becauuse Cooper beat Conner last year. I think Cooper is a better overall team than Conner. Conner has the 2 best players imo in Barker and Fogle. I just think Conner's defense is suspect to me..

So my friend, simply asnwer the one easy question, or can't you admit something that may turn your stomach?

 

When I say Conner was better last season, I look at how each team finished up their season. Cooper laid an egg in the first round and lost to a 4 seed, while Conner went to the Quarter Finals and lost by 1 point. It's not how you start, but how you finish. Playoffs start in a couple of days. If Cooper goes farther, then they should finish ahead of Conner in the final state rankings. It's real simple. Conner should be ahead of them right now based on what has transpired thus far this season.

I agree. I would take Barker and Fogle anyday of the week.

 

I actuality I don't think you can go wrong with either team. I'd could see either one a spot higher than the other in the rankings to tell you the truth. Conner over the season has the better offense and Cooper over the season the better defense. I think if we could combine both teams (Conners offense, Coopers defense) we could give BG a run for their money.

That is where I'm a little confused then, you say Conner is ahead right now based on what transpired thus far this season, but you are basing this season off of one game right?

 

If that is what you are saying, then that is fine with me. Really it is, it's just an opinion and everyone is entitled to theirs. That is why I based mine on, what has transpired this season thus far....Conner beat Cooper, Cooper beat everyon else they played the entire season. So really in all honesty it could go either way in my opinion. Both teams are so evenly matched these last 2 years and is why the outcomes are the way they are. AS I said earlier, I think both both teams should be ranked right behind eachother. Cooper did lose in their first playoff game last year, but they still played well enough to win. Had 3 TD's called back, far from "Laying an egg" wasn't like they got blown out. They also played a 4th seed that last year actually had the same record and were pretty evenly matched. That will happen. It's football.

 

 

They may lose Friday night, who knows, but as I stated, we are talking about what has transpired this season thus far and thus far Cooper is 9-1 and that's pretty good. Not one other team in the district can claim that or can claim they went 7-1 in district play since they moved to 5A. I got to give them some respect, just as I give Conner the same respect.

 

I think Conner will crush MC this Friday and I hope we get to see a rematch in the 3rd round, but I am worried about our game this Friday, so we;ll just wait and see.

I would have agreed with you about 6 weeks ago, but Conner's D has been pretty good the last month or so when they've had most of their pieces to put on the field. They dropped the hammer on Cooper and CCH. The coolest thing I like about this Conner team is that they play big in big games. They've been clutch all year. The Cardiac Cougars.

Conner's defense has really stepped it up the last month. Playoffs should be fun.
