If you consider the fetus a person then the punishments should all be the same as if the mother were to do the samething to her infant. In other words same punishment as if a mother gave her infant alcohol, a cigarette, or was mountian climbing with the infant strapped to her.

I see your point. The outcome of any pregnancy that does not result in a healthy baby could become a prosecutable offense.

I do sometimes call for state oversight. With this issue, I believe life is being taken, which is why I say it should be a federal issue. Call it hypocrisy if you choose, because I am more than comfortable with my position.
