"This is very offensive to me and members of my community. This is clearly an attempt at voter intimidation. When you have a picture of a judge's gavel and word felony and fine and voter all in the same message. The only message you are intending to send by placing it where it is, is that this is a threat to you if you vote. I was outraged when I saw it last night. I've been spreading the word. Everybody in our community is outraged. This is an attempt to keep people from this community, particularly black people, from voting. It has to come down."

"They need to be exposed who they are."

Is this sign offensive? or is it a PSA directed at all voters?

What question are you asking?

Is it offensive to mention to any and all that voter fraud is a crime? No.

Is it offensive to THAT community that is made up of likely Obama voters when there has been no sign of voter fraud? Yes.

Is the intent clear? Yes.

So that makes it racist somehow?

Sorry not buying it.

Not sure why anyone would have an issue with a sign that mentions the penalties for voter fraud...

Unless that billboard is put up in the suburbs, countrysides and urban areas of Ohio then there is no issue. If that is the only billboard that is up then that is an issue. Maybe not a racial issue but that billboard is there for a reason and I don't think it is to let people know the penalties of voter fraud.

Why would they put the billboard there? Of all places?

I don't know, I'm not there. Maybe whomever did feels there may be some voter fraud going on?

The ONLY people who would be offended by something like that are those that aren't voting on the up & up. If I'm voting there and know I'm doing nothing wrong, that sign doesn't register for me.

Perspective is also key.

Fully functioning brain plus my head is not up my rear end.

So you know exactly what the intent is behind the sign?

Let's assume your illogical thought process is accurate for argument sake. How would that sign dissuade anyone who wasn't committing voter fraud from voting?

I'm not saying the sign will be effective. It's intent, though, is crystal clear.
