Boyle at home and against their old coach, they come out on a mission and focused. A lot riding on this game with the loser going on the road the first week of the playoffs against a very tuff Knox/Russell opponent. I like Boyle pulling away late 35-14.

I'd love to truthfully know how bad Pardue wants this game. I had the pleasure of speaking to him last week and when I asked him how much he was looking forward to playing Boyle and he said his only concern was Taylor County. :D I couldn't get anything out of him but I have to imagine that there isn't a bigger game on his schedule this season. Add in the murmurs that if Chuck Smith is let go by UK that he may end up on Mercer's staff and you have the makings of some good old fashioned Boyle/Mercer drama.

Isn't this Senior Night for Boyle? If so, add that into the stew and it should be filled with emotion.

Yes it is Senior Night on Friday also.

Interesting comments PurplePride92. I'll believe the Chuck Smith rumors when I see Chuck Smith hisself on the Mercer sideline. As for your interception comment that is a good statement too. Mercer does have 19 interceptions as a team if my stats are correct lead by Russell Sims who has 6. Chris Goodman, Darion Lewis, and Layne Peavler each has 2 with 7 others having one. The loss of Jordan Ellery has hurt us both defensively and offensively also. Dylan Logue has stepped up his game since the injury to Ellery. I'm pretty sure Coach Pardue and Coach Miller( who also was with Pardue at Boyle County and currently on the Mercer staff) wants this one a lot more then any players for either Boyle or Mercer wants it. Mercer knows its senior night also and loves to have the oppertunity to spoil the night for them.

Let's face some more true facts. Boyle and Mercer both run the same schemes. It's going to come down to who executes and who has more PRIDE and HEART!!

Well I can tell you. He wants to win this game as bad as any coach. Any coach wich is playing a game with so much at stake. And you're correct it is the biggest game of the season. Especially with all that is on the line. I also will take this time to say how glad I am that we have coach Pardue. He is the best thing to happen to mercer football since the merge. I look forward to our future here at Mercer. In my opion we have over achieved this season. Going by what we have been like last couple. The football program is headed in the right direction. We need the win on Friday for couple reasons. For some respect and for some confidence. This is a huge game for both teams. I'll close with this statement. Win or lose this game doesn't make mercers season. I'm proud of the team and coaching staff, and can't wait to watch the program grow. Go TITANS!!!!!

Very well said Pitbull.

Is Pardue the offensive coordinator and "calling the plays" for the Titans?

I think Boyle will put it out of reach in the 4th quarter. Boyle by 2 td's. 28-14

He does call the plays.

He does call the plays.

He's one of the best O Coordinators in the business. One of the biggest problems I thought he had at Boyle was he gave that job to someone else when he became Head Coach. Worst mistake he made IMO. He's a big part of the success Boyle had in that great run.

I agree with that statement. And can't say enough good things about him (Pardue). He seems to have the boys attention and respect. He has been to every middle school game that has been home or close to home. These boys haven't had stability at all. Counting Pardue we've had 4 head coaches in the last 5 yrs. He's the third coach that the current seniors have had. I hope he sticks around for awhile. We have a lot of young talent coming through next 4-5 yrs. and I truly believe under him we can make some noise.

Treat him well and he will stay around. Hope he does. I lived in Mercer County the first 2 and a half years of my married life. Of course I'm a Rebel to the DNA but hope the Titans do well.
