I don't know, I'm waiting for 2 Hump to provide us with a link. I searched but couldn't find anything, seems like everything I saw was rather vague.

The rules are agreed upon by each campaign prior to the event. I found this on CNN from the rules in past debates which from my understanding always prohibit note cards. If note cards were allowed Obama would have used them and Romney wouldn't have been so akwardly trying to retrive his at the end.

The politics of debates -- no props, charts or risers - CNN

Other than a handshake at the start of the debates, the candidates are not to approach each other. No props, notes, charts, diagrams or other writings can be used by the candidates; however, they can take notes on the type of paper of their choosing

Ok, those were the 2004 rules. What are 2012 rules? I recall charts being used when Perot was a candidate but they weren't allowed in in 2004. I'd like to see the rules for this current debate before we say Mitt cheated.

A question for you 2 Hump. Do you honestly believe that notes, if that's what they were, account for President Obama's poor showing?

No that was poor strategy. It does account for Romney seeming to be more on top of it with his recall of statistics and a few other issues. Mainly it is more evidence that he lacks any integrity and if he can't follow simple rules of a debate he cannot be trusted to be our top executive. The winner take all, cut throat approach worked well for him at Bain but it scares the bejesus out of me for our leader.

I think you should wait to find out if they were indeed notes and that they were prohibited. Just a thought.

It's only fair to be allowed to speculate based on perceived character. It's what happens to the Kenyan born, Muslim, no college transcripts having, suburb destroying, free cell phone giving, 90B energy jobs wasting, Bush blaming, socialist Obama everyday on BGP and abroad.

This thread is more pathetic than BGH's 15 threads a day..... Some of you can't just accept the fact that Romney worked President Obama over, can you?

Congrats, you've made my ignore list.

So if it comes to light that agreed upon rules were broken what will your reply be then?
