Boone picks up win #1.

Dixie scored in garbage time

34-13 final.

Overall bad performance by DH. Poor play, poor coaching, no emotion. Played like they deserved to loose. Good job Rebels.

There is the top 10 Boone team we all have been waiting for. Congrats to the young men on their first win tonight.

Boone showed what they can do when healthy and if they stay that way they can turn this season around. Though I am surprised Diaw had no carries tonight

Congratulations to the Rebels.

When you get beat by a better team it always seems like there is no emotion. Boone finally put together a good game. Congrats on win number one. Ryle next week and then the suddenly invincible Pioneers.

Dixie beats Conner... Conner beats Boone... Boone wins over Dixie ? Letterman used to be funny and the President used to be serious... worlds are colliding?

Dixie scored before half so how is that garbage time. Lets be real here my man!! Dixie had about 5 guys (starters) get hurt. It was a good game plan by Boone and they did deserve to win.

Random thoughts:

First, throw out the Conner/Dixie game because of the lightening delay. I covered this in the Beechwood thread.

Boone did put it together tonight but they did so against the weakest team they have played so far in Dixie.

Boone used the two headed monster at QB and it worked well, I wondered when they would finally get around to it and tonight was the night.

Ingolia decleated a Dixie defender tonight with a clean hit on a Boone touchdown.

Boone threw the ball pretty well tonight and moved it around among a few receivers.

Dixie was well organized but they just lack overall talent this year. Dixie has to play for 2013 and beyond.

The PA referred to Ryle as "That Team from Union" when announcing an update of the Ryle/Simon game.

Boone County could win their district or not win another game all year.

To put that in context, Clyde posted the final score as 34 to 7 which prompted the garbage comment and then I edited the thread. I don't think any slight was intended.

Yes, sorry, as Guru said, I was just trying to say that Dixie scored a late TD after the outcome was decided and the final score was 34-13, not 34-7. I can see how you could interpret my post as a slam on Dixie, but that is not what I intended.

For all you Dixie people out there.....

If you remember back after week 1 I posted that someone I know that has a son playing on Dixie's team sent me a text that said "New Coach, same ole Dixie"

I was traveling last night and didnt get to attend any games, but I did text this person to get the score of the game and after they responded with the score this was the next comment,

"Some things just will never change here, looks like I'm send my 7th grader to Scott."

In all fairness I think your friend needs to give Coach Brossart a chance.

I saw an organized football team last night and an organized Dixie JV team today that two platooned.

Perhaps, I know they had one kid that is now in college play for Dixie during the Spritky era, and have one that plays now, and the 7th grader.

I think Brossart is a very good coach, just a matter if he can turn things around at Dixie quick enough. Both on the field and off. Time will tell.
