If you ask anyone from Ryle what is the biggest game of the year for them, its the Boone County game. The Boone game is the one Ryle prints up tee shirts for, not SK. Ryle looks at the S.K. game the same way they do Campbell County and Dixie, another district game. If you go thru the threads you will find most of the post come from one person. He wants Ryle to be S.K's big rivalry game. Boone is Ryles rivalry game. Always has been, always will be. I wish both teams good luck and good health.

 

This is exactly right, Jarhead! This Ryle/SK rivalry is a myth made up by certain SK fans, perhaps by just the "special" one. I doubt most Ryle students even know who the Raiders are playing this week. Yes, Boone is the team that gets the Ryle people fired up. And, of course, it is because of past history with Boone. Perhaps SK fans are excited about getting a chance win one over Ryle this year, that is fine. Pioneers are having a nice season and they could elevate their record with Ryle to 3 wins & only 7 losses in the last ten meetings. Good for them! And, good luck to both teams!

You are a very lucky person, you have the opportunity to see another great Union team while in the area. Just drive East on 42 about a mile and turn left and enjoy watching the 3rd best team in NKY. The Cooper team welcomes all visitors.

Oh crap you make it hard to hope SK has success. You would make a great tabloid reporter. Don't go run and hide when early success goes out the window. UK#1fan is a great marketer in the mold of Andy Furman or P.T. Barnum. With no disrespect to the Pioneers, I never followed the Simon Kenton program until I started reading UK#1fan's posts.

 

On Friday nights after I check the Cov. Cath. score, (no need to check Highlands - they always win) I scroll down to see what Simon Kenton did.

 

I hope the Pioneers keep it rolling. It keeps thing very interesting on here. (oh...and Beat Highlands.)

Isn't this thread about SK/Ryle? Does anyone know how Ryle comes into this one health wise? Have they been missing anyone that may make a difference coming back or are they going to be without anyone Friday that will cost them?

I don't think you will get that kind of information out of the Ryle community. They are not going to give anything away, and I don't blame them one bit. If something did leak out, I would distrust it as disinformation!
