Like I've said since season started I think HC matches up with CCH alot better than any other team outside of Holmes. But Highlands proved they were to.

 

CCH is the favorite. But I wouldn't be surprised to see another close game like last year.

Coach L has yet to lose to HC in 12 tries and I'm sure that they HC boys are hearing about that.

Last year was the polar opposite and cannot be matched as far as exciting endings.

Thus, I'll go in the middle and say CCH by 10.

It all depends on Tierney. Tierney is at full strength HC has to play their best ball to have a shot. But if Tierney isn't a full shape I think some of you are missing some matchup problems for HC. I don't think CCH has a player who can go inside out like Steeken. I don't think CCH has a player as Strong as Scruggs.

A. Tim is fine.

B. Offensively, no CCH player goes inside and out. However, they can guard on the perimeter.

C. No one is as strong as Scruggs on CCH's roster. No one is as physical as Scruggs either.

It's going to come down to the guards, and I don't think HC has an answer for Todd or Timmy. It will be interesting to see if this game gets up into the 50's, or if HC plays a zone of some sort.

I think Dane will show people some things this game. A big X factor is if Jimmy ryan shows up and shoots the ball way he should. Maybe playing against ex teammates will light a fire.

Just wondering cause I know when I played we beat CCH in 2000 on the home floor. AFter that not sure

How so? Timmy is quick and strong, Kurt is a two-sport star, Schult is versatile for a big guy, and Todd is Todd. Off the bench Cahill, Brown, and Landrum are all relatively athletic. Overall I would say CCH has the edge.

That is the last time that HC has beaten CCH.

 

I know that Steenken, Stevie etc. never beat CCH...and I think that is on any level (in HS, of course).
