Every leader we have had has claimed to have Christian morals and values. How's that looking? And why do the leaders have to be Christian? Their religion or lack thereof affects me none.

Am I correct that the "platform" included the word "faith?" If so, what's the issue?

And they restored it this morning because they feel they'd be leaving too many people out.

I prefer a complete separation of religion and politics.

The fact that this is an "issue" should tell the Ds that their convention has gone very well.

I think it say something about the leadership of the DNC but it will have very little impact on the election. On one hand it saddens me that it has come to this but on the other hand I really don't want anyone giving a "shout out" to God if they don't mean it.

Well I don't necessary think it's an indicator of anything. Everything has been an issue, except the issues, at both conventions. Let's face it these conventions are a dog and pony show. Tonight however, is appointment TV with Biden taking stage. If I were the DNC I would have Joe do the moment of silence and move on.

Obviously we have both Christian and non Christian leaders. The way I look at it their true beliefs will come out in how the vote. I don't like the fact that the word God has become controversial but I find it interesting that people, basically, Protestants are up in arms over this and on the two tickets we have a Morman, 2 Catholics, and a follower of Rev. Wright. Which is all ok but why does this all of a sudden get them in a tizzy?

I haven't watched a great deal so I will take your word for it. The recaps I've seen have been more about Mrs. Obama's delivery and how everyone has had a hard life, both sides mind you.

This is what they believe.

Jesus Christ is the literal Son of God. His birth, life, death, and resurrection fulfilled the many prophecies contained in the scriptures concerning the coming of a Savior.
