Again, according to my parents, the documentary merely takes direct quotations from Obama's books and researches them. They told me that both good points and negative points are made about Obama, with very little in the way of conclusory statements. This was not like Michael Moore's documentary, or even like Ben Stein's documentary. I haven't seen the movie and won't. I haven't read the book, but it is my understanding that in the forward to the book, the President says that events and characters have been consolidated and combined. Since I haven't read the book, I can't say if that provides fodder for fact checkers without affecting the theme or if it makes a material difference.

So when the BGP right-wingers watch this and use this as the gospel will Fahrenheit 9/11 have the credibility that 2016 will have? I too have heard the Farenheit 9/11 comparisons. If so I take it to mean it will end up having a lot of opinion and not a lot of evidence.
