August 29, 201214 yr I used to buy Madden, NCAA, and Live (switched to 2K around 2007) every year, but haven't bought Madden in a year or two. Read some really good stuff about this years version, its practically a new game. Numerous gaming reviews have said its the best Madden in a decade. I bought it this evening after work, about to give it a spin for the first time.
August 29, 201214 yr Not happy with it so far. Need to work on my sliders but right now it's too easy. Also, and before I say this complaint, I know it makes me look like a nerd. How the hell does madden make a game and screw up a teams uniforms!? And it's not something little. They completely left the sleeve stripes off the Giants away uniforms. After googling it, it appears they made mistakes on many uniforms. Don't they have a guy who's only job is to design the freaking uniforms?? The game is supposed to be realistic and they can't get freaking uniforms right. Wow. Oh, and I'm still ticked about no player editing.
August 29, 201214 yr I'm glad I gave up on Madden years ago. Sounds like I am missing absolutely nothing. Especially with the wack franchise mode, no fantasy draft and no player editing. My buddy and I used to draft our own teams and put them in a franchise and play it out. Now we just play Modern Warfare. Madden sucks.

But I just don't see how they put out such a sloppy product. I have come to expect Madden to screw up certain players facemasks, or the things they wear. But when they let you fix those things with player editing it was okay. Why take that away?

Because they lost focus on the things that the gamers enjoyed and what made the game special and have sold its soul for money and fame. The game has never been more commercial but it sucks now.
August 29, 201214 yr Player editing, missed uniforms, easiness can all be fixed with a quick patch. Ed it should have came like that right out of the box but nothin is perfect. I bought it tonight. Probably won't get to try it out for a few days though.

Probably won't get to try it out for a few days though. I get having to patch in player editing, and other glitches. But not getting uniforms right? Thats just lazy. And theres no guarantee they will patch in player editing. Wouldn't surprise me if they save it for 2014. I can see it now. "All new connected careers with player editing". Which is BS since player editing is on the game, you just can't use it on Connected Careers. And it was on last years game as well.

One of our favorite things to do in gaming is a fantasy draft franchise and play out seasons on end. Madden has essentially become "Play Now". :madman:
August 30, 201214 yr It's very upsetting that they have removed the fantasy draft and player editing features from franchise mode....these were some of my favorite features and the game modes will be no fun without that. I am however excited to play the legend mode that is similar the the heisman challenge that is on NCAA.
August 30, 201214 yr I like Madden. I like the Twitter feature on franchise, I like the in season negotiating, it's the little things I like. I never liked the fantasy draft, or player editing so I'm good.
