Final from Grayson. Raceland led 12-6 at the half and outscored East 26-0 in the second half.

Good job Raceland the Coop Dog was looking down tonite. JD

Listened to the dulcet tones of Tim Carper tonight on the radio. Sounded like a jillion turnovers. Congratulations to the Rams.

Congrats to the Rams!

Congrats Raceland.

It's a great day to be a Ram!!!!

It was a shaky start, a real ugly first half. Coaches made some half time adjustments and ta-da instant success. Second half was much better.

Raceland sophomore Rodney Vance had a great game with two receptions for TD's, probably around 100 yards receiving. Jr. RB Zach Litteral had another good game. Jr. RB Daylin Beach had a great game with around 100 yards. Jr OL Nevan Johnson sprung two TD's on two trap blocks. Jr QB Adam Elkins probably had around 150 yards passing.

Jr. DE Alic Risner had a good showing with around 5 tackles. Sr. Kyle Morris laid some hard hits on defense. Sophomore safety/WR Conner Messer had a good game with several receptions and two picks on defense.

Ugly was exactly right...way too many mistakes and turnovers. Rams should have been up four scores at the half and had a shutout. Only the first game though...those things will be ironed out. RAMS will have to clean up the rough areas before rolling into Putnam next week. RAM coaching staff will see to that...the goal is to improve each week and be sound fundamentaly.

Kentucky Christian University coaches were at this game and asked some questions about Raceland RB/DB Daylin Beech and OL/DL Nevan Johnson.

GRAYSON — Raceland got a fight, but it only lasted for one round.

Ahead only 12-6 at halftime, Raceland went on a

26-0 second-half run to defeat East Carter 38-6 at East Carter High School on Friday night.

Rams’ coach T.J. Maynard watched as his team shot themselves in the foot during the first half.

“Seems like every time we would make a big play, a momentum-changing play, we would get some type of penalty or we would turn the ball over,” Maynard said.
