Doesn't look like Mr. Romney was far off.

I'm assuming, by this logic, that we should accuse Atlanta of being ill prepared in 1996, seeing as they allowed for someone to access Centennial Park with a bomb and set off a bomb, thereby killing two people and injuring 100 more?

I'd also like to issue my complaint about Altanta being incompetent and unprepared in 1996. My friend's girlfriend (and future wife) was diving in the Olympics that year. My family wanted to go, but we couldn't get our hands on any tickets - true story.

Atlanta, you weren't ready.

I really wish Tony Blair would have made a bigger issue out of that when he was running for Prime Minister

I disagree with Piers Morgan. You don't come to a country as a guest AND as a potental future POTUS and immediately criticize the people by calling their baby ugly even if it's the ugliest thing you've ever seen. Common courtesy. What was to gain by saying that? Nothing.
I still think it was blow out of proportion. I also agree with Morgan. What was there to gain from the president's many tactless moments?

Nothing. Your point?

That people are human. Obama has had his share, did you guys think it made him less of a candidate or president?

Yes. And McCain's gaffe of picking Sarah Palin is why Obama is President Obama.

People are human.
Yes, I know. For some reason, I see a few that claim being middle of the road, pick Romney apart while coming to the defense of Obama or flat out giving him a pass.

He ran a weak campaign, period. It was more than just Palin.

Overall, I agree. He changed too much for many in the middle PLUS he brought on Mrs. Palin. Deadly combo.

Re: SLC Olympics - is Gov Romney taking more credit than he deserves for its success? Is it possible the POTUS was right when he said "You didn't do it on your own?"

Like you say, politics is perception. I'd love to see what you all would say if it was Obama saying the things Romney said.

Honestly, I think everyone's view would switch the other direction, ie those now defending would be attacking, those attacking would be defending.
