August 3, 201214 yr Don't know what to tell you. Unless Liberty Media decides to add 20-25 million (or more) to their payroll, it isn't a good idea to trade away top prospects for guys that you will have for two months.

Who did you want them to go after this year? Dempster, they tried and he said no Lee, haha Liriano, no way Shields, Beckett, They tried to get Lester and Boston said no thanks. They got the guys they needed. It's not always about getting the big name, but more about getting a guy that will fit the teams needs, fit team chemistry, etc. Braves consistently get that with players they trade for.
