As talented as Philly is they should finish 1st or 2nd.

If Vick didn't say what he said then I'd question his head and his heart. Saying we have the Dream Team(VY) is way worse than saying we have a possible dynasty(Vick). They should have a possible dynasty with their talent and Andy Reid coaching. IMO.

Who said they were the franchise the Giants are? I missed that part. I saw greatly run. Are the Eagles not a greatly ran franchise like the Giants are?

You didn't see it because it does not exist. Anything NY Giant related or pro-Philly, H20 comes out swinging and asks questions later  Since Reid has been there they have been to the playoffs 9 out of 11 years and won the division 6 out of 11 years. It is a solid operation by NFL standards. Pretty sure the Colts and Pats are the only teams to be in the playoffs and win their division that many times during that span. That does not mean I am saying they are as good as the Giants who have two titles during that time. Which I originally alluded to a few posts back. You know we love you, H20.

I responded to the post below. You compared the two franchises and said, "Like NY, the Eagles are a greatly run franchise". I simply pointed out that they are not like New York. They're not as good of a franchise. The final goal in the league isn't to win division titles and make it to the playoffs. If that were the case the Buffalo Bills would have had a dynasty in the Jim Kelly era.

You said they're a greatly run franchise. I disagree with that.

Like NY (without the titles), the Eagles are a greatly run franchise.

I hate the Cowboys and Redskins as much as I do the Eagles. But the Eagles aren't as good as everyone else thinks. They're overrated. The Cowboys are going to be better than Philly this year. If Dallas can get over that hump they're a better team than Philly.

And does no one think it's going to hurt them losing their starting left tackle for the year? Who's going to stop Demarcus Ware, Orakpo, Jason Pierre Paul from getting to Vick?

No, they aren't in my opinion.

Saying you have a possible dynasty when you didn't make the playoffs the year before, is a little too cocky.

Just wanted to mention this before it goes any further. Bugatti has already made a comment once.

I do not come here to be fair and balanced. I am not an unbiased sports writer who gets paid to write about the NFL. I am a fan. I come here to have fun, and talk a little trash. So I will come out swinging and I will not back down. I do not apologize for that either. If you would rather I be fair and balanced and let this thread die after about 3-4 posts where everyone agrees with each other and high fives about how awesome Philly is...I'll go away. :p

I like the way you approach it and woudln't expect anything else from you.

The Giants are still the team to beat this year in the conference but I think the Eagles will get it done this year.

I think Cruz's numbers will drop some this year, especially since HB20 picked them up in Godot's league haha!

Probably right.

I would typically never say this, but I believe the Cowboys have a good shot. I'm thinking them or the Giants.

That is not really much of a stretch. Granted they got slaughtered last game against NY, but that game was for the division.

True.

Is everyone buying into DeMarco Murray? I know he came on strong last night and had some solid games? But it seems like everyone is considering him a top ten back now. I'm not saying he isn't, just wondering everyone's thoughts.

I'll be sold if he has a good year this year. Seen plenty of guys have one good year and then fade away.

I'm kind of with you PP92. I wasn't sure if we saw him enough last year to merit all the love that he's getting. But I could very much look like an idiot later this year.

It's better to say he sucks and he ends up being a stud and then look like an idiot than to say he's a stud and ends up sucking.
