Some friends and I have been going on Saturdays, each time trying a new restaurant. We have only been down for lunch. Toby Keith's was my least favorite place to eat, but the service was good. Almost everything on the menu was fried.

 

My young adult children have been down there for the night life and seemed to really like it...which after reading this thread worries me.

I guess I'm in the minority, but I've been there twice on Saturday nights and loved the place. It does get pretty packed, and I hate paying a cover charge, but that is one place I don't mind spending the $5. It's honestly like a country concert and the cover bands that I've seen have both done an awesome job.

 

Went their for dinner once and had a pretty good steak sandwich and I thought they had a nice variety on their menu. I pretty much won't be going there for food much though.

 

As for the beer being pricey, if you go for the 32 ounce major jars, its actually not bad at all. Don't buy the 12 ounce bottles, that is what makes it seem more pricey.

 

And yes the barmaids and waitresses look very nice!

I've been there 7-8 times since it opened, and the only person in here who has even come close to giving it an accurate portrayal is MJ.

 

The food is solid, not great, but what do you expect, it's a bar. Have a wide variety on the menu, the beer is pricey, but it's 32 oz as MJ said, so it's really not bad.

As for Reds games, every game I go to on the weekends (been to 5 so far) we stop down there beforehand for some food and drinks and have always been able to walk right in. Now, you can't just expect to get there 1-1.5 hours before the game and find a seat. For a 4:10 start time, we'll get there no later than 1:30, for 7 PM start times no later than 4:00.

It surprised me to read that on here as well. I've been down there late night both times (when you would think you'd see that type of behavior maybe.) and it wasn't even close to Girls Gone Wild. I actually thought it came off as a pretty classy country establishment (a much nicer version of Bobby Mackey's, in many ways).

From what I can gather in Vegas it is portrayed more as a restaurant than bar. But I could possibly try it again when I head out next month.

I've been there about 5 times and have never seen anything too crazy. It's a decent bar & I've always had a good time there. Beers are a little more expensive than other Cincy / NKY establishments, but I wouldn't say they're overpriced.

 

Typically the line that is out the door consists of people who are waiting for a table. I've had some luck finding spots at the bar and some of the tables are 1st come 1st serve. I always just walk right around the line & into the bar to find a seat. If you can't find a spot to sit or stand, you'll likely have to wait in line to get a buzzer & table.

If you're going down for a few drinks you'll enjoy it. If you're going for dinner, you may be disappointed. I've had the nachos and they were decent (some of the nachos are HUGE). I also had another appetizer and it was also average. Typical bar food..

 

If you're going with other guys or just to drink, you'll have a good time. The beer is cold and the scenery is nice.

Was down there yesterday before the Reds game. Had to wait about 45 minutes for a table, but that just meant we drank a few beers before.

Is that so they can turn the food out quicker or do you think its higher profit items? I haven't been yet.

I'm not really sure what their reason may be, I guess to get food out quicker, but it seemed like it took the same amoutn of time from when I ate there a different time. Probably just easier on their kitchen staff and easier to plan.

I've only been to the one in Cincy once. Did not eat, just beers with friends. I thought the band was pretty good, the atmosphere was fun. I'll be going back.

 

I've eaten at the one in Vegas. Wasn't too impressed with the food or the price.
