June 28, 201214 yr I really don't want to see my current favorite player in the NBA go to the Heat. Ray Allen is really your favorite player? Yeah, he has been for a while. I've only had two favorites in my life, MJ and then Ray Allen. I think some of it had to do with "He Got Game", but really at the end of the day, I just love shooters. I used to love playing with the Supersonics because of him. He's my favorite current NBA'er also MJ. He was my avatar for awhile. I have since replaced him with my dog and now my Obonkey.

I think I'd be willing if I were the Heat to give him a 2yr deal. He's not going to be as heavily relied upon in Miami, maybe more free looks, perhaps a little more rest per season. He's the 3rd option for the Heat every night. Often in Boston he was option 1 or 2. As poorly as Pierce played down the stretch, he was first. Of course Rondo facilitated things for him many times, but I think as well as the Heat move the ball, Ray would flourish there.

June 28, 201214 yr Ray Ray would get the same looks from Lebron that Miller got in the playoffs, only Ray Ray would get those looks every game...Ray Ray just spotting up in the corners and on the wings and waiting for Lebron to kick it out after driving the lane = Deadly!!! On the flip side maybe teams stick Allen and stop collapsing on Lebron and doubling on him when he gets in the paint which would also be scary for opponents...I really like watching Ray Allen and enjoyed his time with the Celtics, Rondo is my favorite player so it was awesome watching him dish it out to Allen often...I also really like Lebron and have ever since I went to watch one of his HS Games vs Columbus Brookhaven and Drew Lavender and if he can't be with the Celtics I would love nothing more than to watch him play with Lebron...With the Celtics aging and dismantling I think the Heat are a great fit for Ray Ray...

He's easily got 2 more years in him if he goes to a team like the Heat where he doesn't have to work as hard to get open...Most of his open looks would come from the penetration of Lebron and Wade...You are also right about him being in great shape, he is in amazing shape for his age...His shot alone if he wants it will give him a chance to play in the league for at least a few more years, shooters that are as good as he is can become defensive liabilities and still be a valuable asset to a winning team like the Heat... Heck Reggie Miller could come back right now to play for the Heat and feast off of the defensive attention that Lebron and Wade draw and probably put up 8-10 points a night
