Has Dunn Already Won Comeback POY?

Featured Replies

And one step closer to the top the leader board of most career home runs without ever having played in a playoff game.

And that's ALL his fault. Give me a break.

No, not all his fault. But, he strikes me as a guy who shows up to take some big swings and collect a fat pay check. I doubt that he loses any sleep when his team isn't winning.

He was a free agent in 2009. Of all the gin joints in all the towns in all the world he picked the Nationals.

I wish Adam the best but if I am going to plunk down a few shekels to see a game I would much rather watch young and hungry (Frazier, Heisey, Mesoraco).

Johan Santana could get consideration...

Don't forget they give a Comeback Player of the year in BOTH the American League and the National League. Santana will have nothing to do with Dunn getting the AL award.

Thats true I forgot all about that...I dont know if anyone in the AL more deserving then except maybe Nathan...In the NL it looks like Johan so far although he has been getting knocked around lately...

It sounded like everyone forgot their were two winners.

Well the thread title didnt specify so it didnt even cross my mind...Without thinking I just started naming guys from both leagues that should or could be considered...

One thing working in his favor versus some of those others over 500 HR, no one has ever accused him of 'roiding it. That actually might earn him some favor with the voters.

To me the all time what if question for Cincy is what if Griffey Jr decided to take roids when Bonds did? Would he have hit 800+ homers? Would Dunn, Kearns and others followed his lead? Would they have won at a way bigger clip?

Their pitchers would have had to follow suit and 'roided up for Cincy to win at a way bigger clip.

I think they would have. I think most teams follow their best players work ethic. If Griff was on roids I think a lot of guys would have been.
