May 21, 201214 yr That's fair and not surprising. Exactly. It was obvious last year. His career trajectory will depend on how well he learns the game. He doesn't have the raw ability to overcome bad reads w/ laser throws.

May 21, 201214 yr Exactly. It was obvious last year. His career trajectory will depend on how well he learns the game. He doesn't have the raw ability to overcome bad reads w/ laser throws. We will know all we need to know about him after this year. They have a young team that had what looks like a monster draft on paper. This year however they face some real QB's. It's funny that some Gals fans last year dismissed that the best QB they faced outside of their own division was Hasselbeck. Not so lucky in that department this year.

I was right about him not having a strong arm you and others were wrong. Also that article seems to state that his arm was the reason their offense wasn't that good the last 9 games of the season. I acknowledged his success and said he was a winner. Just doubt the arm strength like others around the league do and even people in their own organization.

May 21, 201214 yr I named Joe Montana didn't have a strong either. Back when receivers weren't allowed to run free. Different game, but I'm sure Joe would be successful today. I'm not quite ready to compare Dalton and Montana. Futurecoach brought up Brees. I'm not ready to compare those two either but I hope fc is correct and Dalton becomes a Brees clone. I personally think Brees has a bigger arm than Dalton but it isn't Rogers like.

May 21, 201214 yr Did they win last year? I know it's Cincinnati so a playoff trip is a good year, but NO they didn't win big last year. They haven't won a playoff game in a long time. My hope is their goal is to win the Super Bowl not just make the playoffs.

Not only a soft schedule but they missed a few starting QB's that were injured and still only managed 9 wins.
