May 21, 201214 yr Author Wouldn't you rather have someone that can get on base that isn't the quickest, than someone that struggles to get on but has speed? I like the idea of hitting him 2nd better. If the speedy leadoff guy does get on you have the best guy at the plate for the hit and run batting 2nd. You would also have someone getting on base more often for Votto.

May 21, 201214 yr According to fangraph.com he has a career "contact%" of 91.4%. Not sure what that means exactly, but sounds like your brother may be right. :idunno: For comparison Votto's contact % is 78%.
