Heard today that Mitch Trail (kid from AZ) transferred to Holy Cross. Can anybody confirm?

I cannot confirm that, but if true HC sure gets a lot of these transfers in football & ball.

If he is headed to Holy Cross, does he have to apply to the KHSAA again for eligibility?

 

He is not going to start at QB this year for them either and he wouldn't have if he started the summer there. JMO.

I don't see Pouncy being the QB if there is a good alternative. You want him out in space with the ball and you do that by having him play WR/RB IMO.

Sounds like this kid did not do his homework when evaluating programs. I can't imagine any private or independent program that would not have its QB position settled this late in the preseason, or even by the dead period. If he wants to play QB that badly, he may have to compromise being on a winning program.

Private or independent program? How about any program...I would think almost any program has an idea abt who their QB is gonna be or at least have a 2- horse race in mind. BTW- there is no such thing as an independent football program in KY. If you are referring to independent school districts such as Bellevue, Dayton, Ludlow, Southgate, Ft. Thomas, Covington to name a few the title "independent Schools" simply denotes that they are a separate taxing district than the county. This allows those districts to levy taxes within the set boundaries, maintain their own school board etc. It has nothing to do with athletics or any other school entity other than the finance side.

In a few weeks this kid is not the starter for HC where will he try next?? Sounds like this young man has his priorities messed up. Maybe this was all a HC recruting plan and he was going to go there the whole time and they just wanted to get someone inside the NewCath program for awhile as a spy. Holy Cross is a great recruiting athletic program.

He is not FROM NC so there is no long-term attachment there. What if his parents just want him to go to a school where he has a chance to play? Is there harm in that?

If you read my reply I said nothin about him being FROM NC or any attachment. I also stated that maybe his parents want him to play QB too. There is absolutely no harm whatever the reason.
