How are payments received? Monthly? Quarterly? Per Semester? Yearly?

 

At Trinity I think that any of the above is okay. There is a discount if it is all paid once, in advance. You also have the option to start paying as early as the sixth grade and lock in a rate.

And if your parents were like most I've heard of, they would often wonder "Where on Earth are we going to find $300?"

 

I had Dennis Esterle for Algebra I, Algebra II and Precalculus. He kept a copy of the student handbook from 1958 in his desk. He used to read from it from time to time and I remember a line of something to the effect of "Full tuition of 75 dollars must be paid before a final report card will be issued to a student." Pretty crazy.

 

To a certain extent, there's no denying the the loss of religious vocations has made Catholic school more expensive. My mother never had a teacher that wasn't a nun until she was in high school and I never had a religious as a teacher UNTIL I got to high school, and there were only three priests at Trinity by then.

 

I wish I knew more about the other factors.

 

If you had Dennis Esterle three times you are a lucky guy (I'm not sure I thought so at the time). I also had him three years. We were by far the best prepared math students at my college. He made freshman calc an easy A.

 

The loss of the priests and nuns has made the schools a lot more expensive. We have also had to be more competitive in our pay structure to attract and keep great teachers. It's sort of strange. I think someone was trying to stir something up by starting this thread. What it stirred for me is great feelings about what a bargain Trinity and the girls schools were for me, my brothers, my sisters, my nephews, my nieces, my sons and my daughter. Question does Holy Cross of Cov. give a discount to the NFL and the Chris Carter program for intercity kids.

BGA is $17,900.

Father Ryan $11,400.

Franklin Road $17,600.

Brentwood Academy $18,950.

Doesn't matter, both are back at Trinity anyway.

I paid monthly when my kids were at Assumption & Trinity. There were no envelopes to take, though...I received an account(s) from the tuition service, and it was automatically deducted from my checking account. No chances taken on a lost check. :lol:

This was in the 80's. I don't know if he could have it deducted out of his account then. Unless he was trying to teach me responsibility.
