Jared Rering and Gabe Antrobus sign with KCU

Featured Replies

Pendleton County had two players sign to continue their basketball careers at KCU last week. 6'3 forward Jared Rering and 6'1 guard Gabe Antrobus both signed with the KCU Knights. Both are great kids on and off the basketball floor. They should excel at KCU.

Antrobus, a long range specialist averaged 14 points per game last year making 77 made three pointers. He also broke the school record with 9 made three's in an overtime win over Desales. Rering averaged 9 points and 7 rebounds per game for Pendleton.

Congrats to both of these young men.

Two outstanding young men...congrats to those guys.

Congrats. Where and what is KCU?

Kentucky Christian University, located in Grayson, Kentucky (Carter County). It's a stone's throw from East Carter High School. Very successful program that participates in the NCCAA (National Christian College Athletic Association). Small school of I'm guessing 800 or so students.

Several 10th Region players have played for the Men's team. Off the top of my head there are:

Chad Persinger (Bracken County)

Jay Fite (Mason County)

Tony Kidwell (Pendleton County)

Jonathon Anderson (Fleming County)

Daniel Cline (Harrison County)

Kevin Barnard (Pendleton County)

I also believe each of those players won National Championships @ KCU.

KCU has produced a few 10th Region coaches as well. The aforementioned Persinger, along with Campbell County's Aric Russell & Pendleton County Assistant Coach Jon Wirth.

The women's team also has a considerable 10th Region representation, including a couple of players on this year's National Championship team.

^ Thank for the info. You can see the college from I-64 can't you?

Congratulations to both of these young men!

RP - a veritable font of information. Most impressive for a meatloaf-despising grade-schooler.thumb[1].gif

Did you see the tweet where Ron Arnett made the HOF? I think his 3 favorite moments as a coach would interest you.

That's correct.

Congrats to two great players that played hard for the P county wildcats and under coach Blevins for the Crons last summer!

Didn't some players from Augusta sign there over the years? Don't know if they went though. Would like to compile a list of Bracken County,Augusta and Mason County kids that sign at colleges but either never go or leave after a year or semester

I think there was one or two, but not sure who they were.

Dustin "Shooty" Staggs did...maybe somebody else?
