April 9, 201214 yr Author How many Cuban Americans? The two or three I noticed in comments and on message boards I check out.
April 9, 201214 yr Author Trust me, you wouldn't have to dig much.:lol: I'm not worried a bit about it.  I know. It happens to the best of us. Even me.
April 9, 201214 yr I have no problem with Ozzie saying what he believes. That is his right, but I also believe it's the Marlins owner's right to fire him if his comments hurt his business. That's true also. I hope he doesn't but it is his team.
April 9, 201214 yr Ozzie says what's on his mind. He's not very good at subtlety. It's a bad combination. I don't believe for one second that he's pro-Castro. His comments about Hugo Chavez in his own country would seem to back that up. But this is Miami and anything other than "kill him now" will instantly put you on the bad side of a lot of people.
April 9, 201214 yr If he loves Castro and what he stands for so much, why isn't he coaching in Cuba? Oh wait, $$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$

April 10, 201214 yr Idiot. No surprise, that he'd make such an idiotic remark. Nothing will be more enjoyable than seeing all that money go to waste. After the new wears off, no one in south Florida will care about the Florida Marlins once again.

After the new wears off, no one in south Florida will care about the Florida Marlins once again. I was going to say watching your team win the World Series should be more enjoyable. Then I remembered you were a Cubs fan, so I guess you'll need some more explanation: http://www.answers.com/topic/world-series
April 10, 201214 yr For now I'll settle for the Florida Marlins wasting all that money on a new stadium. The only question is will they rank 28th,29th or 30th in attendance this year? That's the range they finish every year. No one cares about the Marlins.

April 10, 201214 yr This has picked up a lot of steam the past 24 hours. I think I heard this morning that 60% of people in Miami speak Spanish. Of those 60%, 40% come from a Cuban background. Those numbers may be off a bit. But still a large number. From wiki: The top 25 US communities with the highest percentage of people claiming Cuban ancestry are (the top 24 of which are in Miami):[12] Westchester, Florida 65.69% Hialeah, Florida 62.12% Coral Terrace, Florida 61.87% West Miami, Florida 61.61% University Park, Florida 59.80% Olympia Heights, Florida 57.65% Tamiami, Florida 56.63% Hialeah Gardens, Florida 54.31% Medley, Florida 51.91% Sweetwater, Florida 49.92% Palm Springs North, Florida 43.59% Miami Lakes, Florida 42.28% Kendale Lakes, Florida 38.58% Fountainbleau, Florida 37.29% Miami, Florida 34.14% Miami Springs, Florida 31.83% Richmond West, Florida 29.30% Coral Gables, Florida 28.72% Virginia Gardens, Florida 26.11% South Miami Heights, Florida 25.70% Kendall, Florida 21.31% Miami Beach, Florida 20.51% Surfside, Florida 20.15% Country Club, Florida 19.97% West New York, New Jersey 19.64%
April 10, 201214 yr I assure you the vast majority of those people are not Castro fans or respect his ability to stay in power. There is probably one place in America you cannot say what he did, and he said it in that place.
April 10, 201214 yr The two or three I noticed in comments and on message boards I check out. I'd say that's a fair sample...
