Chapman to the bullpen

They are hopeless. I would rather have my daughter in the rotation than Arroyo.

I like it. Especially if it's at the very end of the bullpen.

Based on one bad year?

A year that started with him having mono, then having back problems all year?

Waste of an arm. Waste of a spring and offseason. He was their best starter all ST, and they reward him by sticking him in the setup role. Brilliant.

Please tell me what they are going to do with Arroyo?

Let him sing the national anthem 81 times.

79 pitches today for Arroyo. 6.1ip, 7h, 1r, 0bb, 4k, 1hb.

I still think Chapman will be starting before the season is over. Maybe I should have said hope so...

I'm expecting a big season out of Arroyo. He's a hard worker & has something to prove after last year's season which started off of the wrong foot (due to sickness).

I hope Chapman gets an opportunity to start but I think Chapman in the pen is an easy short-term solution until Masset & Bray are ready.

I don't follow the Reds as closely as some on here, and I'm sure you guys would be a better GM than me, but I don't see this move as bad.

I've been as intrigued with the idea of Chapman closing, as I've been of him starting since the Reds signed him. I think he could be dominant in that role. If he's in the pen, I'd kind of like to see him get a shot doing that this year.

So, there's 2 of us.

Would you rather have a dominant closer or a dominant starting pitcher?
