May 14, 201214 yr 5-7 A couple of seasons ago that could have been an 8 or 9 win schedule. Now they will be lucky to go .500 . If the young talent comes around though the schedule is still there to win 7-8 games, I just don't see that much improvement.

I understand, but Barnhart is secure with his job and he's not gonna fold under the pressure. Now if Joker gets caught doing something immoral that's a different story. With a very young football team I an see him getting two more years.

I beg the differ I think people are underestimating UK and playing in the SEC better known as the best conference in college football...UK would over power the MAC winning the conference probably 4 out of every 5 years...I am in no way saying UK is a powerhouse but they would be a MAC powerhouse...They would lose maybe one game a year and at worst three...UK vs the MAC all time is 25-5 winning by an average of 29-13...UK lost 3 games in the 70's without those its complete domination 24-2 all time...The SEC is 67-13 all time vs the MAC...

UK would def win the MAC, heck aside from last year they could compete to win the BEAST, C USA, and almost any other conference outside Pac 12, Big XII, Big X, they could have even had a chance at winning the ACC if this was a couple of years ago. I know last season wasn't as good, and this year is TBD, but Kentucky looks a lot worst than they actually are because they play in the SEC. You take those Kentucky teams that went to 5 straight bowls and I guarantee you that if they were in the Big East or ACC they could have at least won the title once or twice, especially the year Wake Forrest won the ACC.

Lots of holes to fill out there, especially that of Trevathan. BUT, if all these last couple recruiting classes are so good (for UK standards) now is the time to find out. Very young team, but couple more playmakers on offense with the possibility of a more consistent quarterback play. Big make or break year for Joker.
