So if a player or coach screws up they can continue to play and coach, but if an official makes a mistake he should not get a chance to call the Final Four. One blown call should not omit him from calling the Final Four.

 Are you kidding?

If a coach or player screws up that bad they won't make it to the Final Four. Officials shouldn't either.

Not kidding. If it had happened in the tournament it would have been different. But it happened mid-season. I am sure they got punished and it is time to move on. They should not be punished any further.

Does the umpire that blew the perfect game allowed to umpire the World Series if he is deserving?

No. When you botch something like that it proves you're NOT deserving.

You really think you can blow that call and be one of the top 10 officials in the country?

Yes I do. One call should not drop him out of the top 10. If it had happened in the touranment that would be different but this happened 2 months ago.

Just like I think that Davis is the Player of the Year even though he missed a dunk. Players, coaches, and officials make mistakes. They shouldn't have to be punished for the rest of their career.

I think it depends on what the call is. All refs miss walks, fouls, over and back, ect.... that is forgivable. But to let a game be played for almost a minute with 6 players on the floor, is not just your ordinary "miss call" IMO.

But he should have to be punished forever for it.

If he made THAT mistake, then surely he's NOT a top official. If he made that mistake and is STILL a top official, it proves that the level of officiating in the NCAA is far below what should be acceptable.

You're trying to treat all missed calls equally and that simply isn't the case. Obviously officials aren't perfect, but this is a MAJOR error and we're allowing him to officiate the Final Four in the same year? If its two years from now and he's proven to be a solid official ever since this mistake, then put him in the Final Four by all means. I refuse to believe you can call him one of the top officials in the country only a few months removed from such an atrocious error.

He just didn't miss 6 guys being on the court for a minute, but that terrible no call cost a team a game. No way he should be one of the top 10 rated officials for this year. If he is, then it proves my point on how bad officiating is.

So....you're telling me we've got a chance......? :D

It would be interesting to see Tom Eades on the UK/UofL game since he's from Central City, KY. Talk about a state being well represented!

Absolutely.

If I had to bet, I say we get Adams, Ayers and Harris with Shows as the ALT.

Will we know much before game time who they will be? The ones you listed, could you tell us about them?
