March 15, 201214 yr I think the Knicks can land a much more proven NBA coach than Cal. I'd be shocked if he is even "informally" offered the job. The job opening that scares me the most is if Spoelstra leaves. LA, Boston, and NY Knicks don't scare me that much at all as they are "historic" programs with a good core so I don't feel they will gamble on Coach Cal. Miami is a superstar program and I think LeBron could easily convince Wade and Bosh to rally the FO to go after Cal. That would be a very hard job for Cal to turn down. That has been my thought also.
March 15, 201214 yr Comparing UL football to UK basketball is like comparing Walmart and Neiman-Marcus. THAT's funny!
March 15, 201214 yr I'm with you. The one good thing we have is that Cal doesn't have another college "dream job" like Roy Williams and Carolina. If Cal leaves it will be to the NBA or because of NCAA violations. I agree, although I think Cal is one of those guys who won't walk away until he reaches the pinnacle and wins a title. Once he wins a championship I think it's a "sooner rather than later" type deal with him leaving.
March 15, 201214 yr Not sure if this is a good thing. See: Pitino, Rick I think her point was probably about Jurich's commitment to UofL in general, in which case it's impossible to deny that the transformation in athletics since he took over has been spectacular.
March 15, 201214 yr This thread repeats every March. What's both sad and good is it probably repeats all across the nation on different sites that don't support UK like the majority of this one does. The fact that it's repeating each year is a good thing for UK fans, when it stops, thats when there is really a problem.
